British Prime Minister David Cameron will take the taste of America back to 10 Downing Street after President Barack Obama presenting him with a gleaming new, top-of-the-range grill.
Obama and wife Michelle Wednesday presented Cameron and wife Samantha with a customized wood and charcoal burning grill, complete with US and British flags and a personalized plaque.
The gift, based on a standard Braten 1000 Series Grill which retails for $1895 dollars is accompanied by two personalized chefs jackets for the Camerons, the White House said.
The grill is meant to commemorate the occasion last year when Obama and Cameron rolled up their sleeves in the garden of 10 Downing Street and grilled up lunch for members of the US and British armed forces.
The generosity of the Obamas will likely also draw a contrast to the first gift he offered to former British premier Gordon Brown of a collection of DVD's of vintage US movies, considered by the prickly British press as a snub.
Michelle Obama also gave Samantha Cameron a crystal vase with honey collected from her beehives on the south lawn of the White House, along with home harvested chamomile seeds and a custom candle.
The prime minister's kids got US-made bean bag chairs featuring the presidential seal, personalized with their individual names in embroidery.
Obama is going to pains to stress his close relationship with Cameron during the two-day official visit which also includes a state dinner.
